Saints Row: The Third (also known as Saints Row 3) is a sandbox-style, action-adventure video game developed by Volition Inc. and published by THQ Inc.
Saints Row: The Third, released on 15th November, is the third entry in the Saints Row seriesafter the release of  Saints Row 2 in 2008. 
As in Saints Row 2, the player is the leader of the 3rd Street Saints.
Saints Row: The Third is set in the fictional city of Steelport, as the story focuses on the gang war between the
Saints and the Syndicate, an international criminal organisation led by Phillipe Loren.
The Syndicate are divided into three gangs;
The Morning Star - Led by Loren directly, are European men who sell guns and have impeccable taste;
The Luchadores - Led by Mexican wrestler Killbane, are the ones that deal with gambling and drug smuggling;
The Deckers - Led by hacktivist Matt Miller, are computer geniuses, and deal with the income of money.

As the war intensifies between both gangs, 
government trained Special Tactical Anti-Gang (STAG) units will attempt to halt any violent activity - 
- whether it be perpetrated by the Saints or the Syndicate.
